Siege of Calais

edit

What is this Siege of Calais in 1369? There is no other reference to it anywhere else on wikipedia, nor is there any other reference anywhere on the web. In July 1369 an English Army lead by John of Gaunt had marched out of Calais and pillaged much of Picardy departing back to England in November and leaving behind a garrison in Calais. There is no mention of any Seige of Calais in 1369, and the French Army refused to engage in battle. http://www.archive.org/stream/historyofengland00sanduoft/historyofengland00sanduoft_djvu.txt http://www.archive.org/stream/johngauntkingca00armigoog/johngauntkingca00armigoog_djvu.txt --John lilburne (talk) 19:22, 23 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
