editThe road name is incorrect. The name does not have an 's' at the end; it is Thompson Road. Can an experienced user please change the title of the article as well as the content and the links to this page. Any other article with Thompsons Road written may also need to be changed to Thompson Road. Look up a Melway, UBD or GoogleEarth and the road is named Thompson Road, not Thompsons Road. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.165.46.197 (talk • contribs) 16:57, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
Thompson / s Road
editThis could be disputed at Thompson Road or Thompsons Road until we "go-blue-in-the-face".
Technically the one strectch of road carrying , from Nepean Highway to Berwick-Cranbourne Road and beyond is confusingly signposted as either Thompson or Thompsons Road. Until there is an official response by VicRoads or any other source, it would be best to retain the article as is at the present moment to avoid further confusion in the naming-matter.

- Sorry to unearth a long-dormant thread, but it appears the road has been declared by VicRoads as "Thompson Road" in 2004 from Carrum to Clyde North: I have added definition and VicRoads references to the article to highlight this.
- In light of this, I would like to propose renaming this page to "Thompson Road, Melbourne" to reflect its declared name, if this is agreeable? Lordstorm (talk) 07:37, 26 October 2021 (UTC)
Disambiguation style
editNote: There is a proposal at WT:AURD#Move_articles_to_bracket_disambiguation to rename this article (and others) to conform to the WP:AURDNAME guideline – specifically, using brackets instead of a comma for disambiguation. - Evad37 [talk] 09:09, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
