New edits add items of tangential relevance

There have been many additions to this timeline recently, mostly by a single editor, and many of them at best tangentially related to the topic of this article: nuclear weapons development. I am tempted to revert most or all of them, but invite comments from others. NPguy (talk) 15:25, 13 June 2019 (UTC)

Let's have the discussion here, in public, rather than on my talk page. I can't tell how many editors look at this page, but I'm interested in the reactions of others to revisions since March 29, 2019 by TheAlderaanian. Not supported by source: 1950 – June 25 – Joseph Stalin offers to provide Soviet atomic bombs to North Korea

The list entry "1950 – June 25 – The Korean War begins. Joseph Stalin offers to provide Soviet atomic bombs to North Korea during a meeting with Kim Il-Sung.[18]" cites this page (https://time.com/4692045/north-korea-nuclear-weapons-history/) which makes no mention of Stalin offering atomic bombs:

The history of North Korea’s nuclear program can be traced back to the Cold War, when the Korean War convinced leader Kim Il Sung — who ruled the nation from 1948 to 1994 — that the country needed to protect itself from the U.S., and the Soviet Union helped its fellow communist nation get the resources to do just that. (“Are you short of arms?” Stalin is said to have asked Kim when the conflict began in 1950. ”We’ll give them to you. You must strike the southerners in the teeth.”)

In the context of the article, this certainly suggests Stalin was hinting at atomic bombs; however, the Time article links this page (http://content.time.com/time/printout/0,8816,164768,00.html) as the source for the Stalin quote. It makes no reference of Stalin offering atomic bombs and in context suggests it's an offer of conventional arms:

Kim won massive Soviet military assistance, inheriting all the weapons of the Soviet 25th Army, including those confiscated from Japan's defeated armies in the region.

"Are you short of arms?" Stalin asked Kim when he heard about the first / border clashes between North and South in 1950. "We'll give them to you. You must strike the southerners in the teeth." Still, Stalin warned, "if you should get kicked in the teeth, I shall not lift a finger. You have to ask Mao for all the help."

Googling did not return any corroborating results so unless someone has another source, I suggest removing this.
