The result of the move request was: Moved There is consensus to move back to Tom Rogic. (non-admin closure) — Sam Sailor 11:54, 26 August 2016 (UTC)
Tom Rogić → Tom Rogic – Moved without discussion. Very few articles spell his name with the diacritic. It sort of reminds me of the numerous move requests that have gone on at Ana Ivanovic in the past. Unreal7 (talk) 11:08, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
- Support Yes, in this case even more so as he is an Australian (not Serbian) and the "c" with a diacritic doesn't exist in the English alphabet. Also supported here: [1]. Simione001 (talk) 11:11, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose Why should his surname be adulterated just because most media sources are too lazy to write it properly? The surname is Serbian and English language has no authority to change it just because. The Replicator (talk) 14:10, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
- It's not used in English articles because it's not an English letter. Besides his name is spelt "Rogic" because he is Australian, your getting confused mate. He's not Serbian. I believe a consensus was reached regarding this topic some time ago.Simione001 (talk) 01:28, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
- No, I'm not confused, you are, because I said the surname is Serbian. Rogić is a Serbian surname. Rogic is neither Serbian nor English, it is an invention. The Replicator (talk) 01:44, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
- And Aliaksandr is a Russian name, but Alexander Hleb's name is Anglicised. Unreal7 (talk) 10:56, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
- So that is another article that should have its title reverted to the Belarusian version. The Russian version could be an acceptable alternative, but it is too rarely used, so... The Replicator (talk) 23:53, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
- I think you'll find most articles are like this. Simione001 (talk) 10:20, 21 August 2016 (UTC)

"Wikipedia does not necessarily use the subject's 'official' name as an article title; it prefers to use the name that is most frequently used to refer to the subject in English-language reliable sources." Unreal7 (talk) 18:35, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
- Support for procedural reasons (to revert a recent undiscussed controversial move) and on the merits. Without evidence of usage of the ć by someone born and raised in Australia, it should not be in the title. — AjaxSmack 04:31, 21 August 2016 (UTC)
- Support per AjaxSmack, born and raised in Australia. And I'm a staunch defender of diacritics.Someone please ping me for the next Ana Ivanovic RM. No such user (talk) 14:12, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
