editThis story about McCabe in the cinema is a LEGEND, I do not claim it to be not be a historical story. It's a gang legend, it may be a myth. That not my point of quoting it. Of course a legend may be quoted without it being challenged as untrue. If I quote something that Peter Pan said will you challenge it as untrue? How about the libretto of Wagner's Götterdämmerung?
