"this is like one of the best bands of all time" - don't make me laugh.... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.100.12.167 (talk) 11:31, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
It's a bit strange that someone hasn't at least added some form of a discography. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.133.25.86 (talk) 02:13, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

Neutrality
editI think it's abundantly clear that this article is written by someone with a vested interest in the band. I will be editing as soon as time allows. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bucktrout (talk • contribs) 00:11, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

British vs English?
editMost things, people, groups, organisations etc are listed by the (sovereign) country they are from, aren't they?
Sub-national regions, constituent countries etc can be confusing for people who are not familiar with the (correct) nomenclature.
Two random examples are Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and The Smashing Pumpkins, both of which are described as "American" (although "American" should probably be wikilinked to USA), and not Floridian or Illinoisan. Both have the USA wikilinked in the infobox. --98.122.20.56 (talk) 05:23, 6 May 2016 (UTC)

Please change the final sentence "The band performed at the 2023 Conservative Party conference in Manchester on the 3 October 2023.[citation needed]" to read "The band's performance at the 2023 Conservative Party conference in Manchester on 3 October 2023 was listed by the Independent under "Five of the strangest moments from the Tory Conference"[1]. The performance was arranged by UK Music, a group "keen to promote the fantastic work of our music creators and seek support from all the major political parties", which had also scheduled Toploader and other bands to perform for the upcoming Labour conference.[2]" 67.220.13.29 (talk) 11:41, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
- Partly done: In my opinion the suggested language would be WP:UNDUE, particularly given that the section has a banner about excessive detail. However the wikilink makes sense to me and the Independent article works to address the cn template, so I've implemented those. Pinchme123 (talk) 14:15, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
pretty much the only reason this made news was the "outrage" that "the band was performing for one political party of particular views to people" - i dont think it serves the readers to not have the context that it was /not/ "toploader supports tories" but rather a "toploader was working with a 'music advocate' group in generating support for the music industry across the whole political spectrum" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.220.13.29 (talk) 20:31, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
Out of context comment
editThis edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
- The band performed at the 2023 Conservative Party conference in Manchester on 3 October 2023:
- Reasoning- Out of context and has led to a lot of hate comments to the group. Change to- The band performed during both the Labour and Conservative Party weeks in October of 2023 in support of UK Music, The News Movement and TikTok's mission to highlight the importance of the music industry in political conversations.:

References
- The concert hasn't happened yet and this reference actually mentions the Labour Party, unlike the one you supplied. The article will be much easier to write once both performances are over so I don't really want to touch it for now. I only have this article on my watchlist to combat vandalism.
