Flash Flood Emergency
editContrary to what the article mentions, this was not the first Flash Flood Emergency ever issued. Maryland issued one back in August 2014. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.239.97.10 (talk) 14:15, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
- Numerous offices have issued numerous flash flood emergencies in the past. The one issued on May 6 by the NWS office in Norman was a first for their office solely. I can see how the wording may cause some confusion, so I will tweak it. TropicalAnalystwx13 (talk) 15:24, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
Van Tornado was EF3
editThe NWS in DFW rated the tornado in Van an EF3(prelim.), it killed 2. Winds of 135-140 mph. More info later today, if someone could please update the article with the information? Jdcomix (talk) 20:50, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
Denton Tornado on May 10th was EF1, winds of 100 mph.
editThe NWS surveyed tornado damage in Denton, EF1. Article needs updating. Jdcomix (talk) 20:59 11 May 2015 (UTC)
- If you're aware of a tornado, feel free to add it to the page (assuming you provide a reference). Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia after all. :) TropicalAnalystwx13 (talk) 21:02, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
I don't think there's enough here to warrant its own article (although it is cited). It would, however, fit in on the page about the outbreak itself. Paris1127 (talk) 20:34, 22 April 2016 (UTC)
- Personally, I would lean toward simply deleting the Tigernado article. If we do merge I don't think we should spare it more than a sentence or two. TornadoLGS (talk) 22:33, 22 April 2016 (UTC)
- That would work for me. Paris1127 (talk) 23:22, 22 April 2016 (UTC)

- Tornado outbreak sequence of May 5–10, 2015 → Early May 2015 North American storm complex
- 2015 Texas-Oklahoma flood and tornado outbreak → Late May 2015 North American storm complex
The tornado outbreak sequence also had a notable flood and blizzard, and the flood and tornado outbreak article actually caused significant impact in Mexico, so both titles are kind of inaccurate. These are more accurate titles, which in the case of the second move is also more conscience. The first one I could see keeping the title, I just thought it would look nicer to have both in this format since “May 2015 North American storm complex” can be ambiguous.209.201.121.4 (talk) 04:34, 22 February 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. - Oppose – articles are fine as is. United States Man (talk) 02:18, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose both, per United States Man. Looking over the article's 176 reference, I do not see a single one that mentions a blizzard; about a half dozen or so mention flooding, and about the same number "severe storm". All the rest are about tornadoes. Not a single source mentions a "North American storm complex", which is not a common phrase, but for which there seems to be a systematic effort to rename Wikipedia articles en masse to titles containing that phrase, which is against WP principles (using the encyclopaedia to try to force linguistic change), but, more importantly, there being not a single source using that terminology to describe this thing, violates WP:NOR. 2600:1702:4960:1DE0:214B:15FF:24A6:C4BD (talk) 12:55, 1 March 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose Can we stop doing this please? Its annoying. Not ever tornado outbreak that is part of another weather system needs the "complex" naming.ChessEric (talk · contribs) 01:17, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
