Unreferenced change to another company name

Expansion

There's a few bits and pieces that I'd like to see added to the article. I'd be really interested in any reliable, independent, secondary sources discussing any of the following:

• Ex-CEO Vik Bansal's positive influences. Bansal was the subject of much controversy, but it is also regularly noted in passing that he led a major turnaround of the company. I've not yet attempted to add this chapter of the firm's history because the controversy rightly attracted a lot of attention, with the result that older material discussing his achievements in detail is harder to come by. At present, I don't feel like I have a proper account of exactly how he fitted into the firm's history overall.
• Cleanaway's environmental record. I've found and added some material covering mishaps and fines, but I am confident that a waste management firm with substantial investment in recycling and renewables is not totally blind to its environmental responsibilities. Surely, there must be material about their efforts in this area, perhaps in trade/industry publications? Likewise, with a small string of safety failings, one assumes significant investment has been made in this area too.
• Cleanaway's early history. It's a well-known fact in all areas that it's generally easier to find stuff from more recently, and Wikipedia is no exception (See Wikipedia:Recentism). Cleanaway's newer history is well-documented, but the early years are whizzed through in a few paragraphs. While the new material is important, it is no more important than the older history and it would be great to have this better-documented.

Assistance in tracking down good sources for this material would achieve a much more balanced article, and would be deeply appreciated. 92.24.246.11 (talk) 18:15, 25 May 2021 (UTC)

Let me see if I can track down the material for you. It's something I wanted to add and highlight too but majority of the sources I'm aware of for our safety and environmental reports all tend to be primary. Yeah. Business as usual isn't really news; something going wrong is news. So easier to find sources for the latter but both are important. Whilst I have no desire to gloss over negative coverage of Cleanaway, neither do I have any desire to create some sort of anti-Cleanaway hit piece. Understanding the art of the corporate turnaround and Cleanaway wins Turnaround of the Year Award both of which point out Vik Bansal's cost-cutting and reducing customer churn measures that started the turnaround.

New features in trucks

Hi, would like to request Cleanaway's latest features be included in the wiki page if possible, maybe as a new section. These include:

Update request to article based on previous sections

Under Acquisitions History > In 2019, please help update the citation needed request section with the following source: https://wastemanagementreview.com.au/cleanaway-acquires-skm-recycling-for-66-million/

The acquisition included two materials recovery facilities and two transfer stations in Victoria, and a material recovery facility in Tasmania.[citation needed] The site in Laverton North, Victoria includes a plastic sorting facility which separates plastics from material recovery facilities into clean, individual polymer grades for sale or input into a pelletising facility.[citation needed]

Would also like to add a new section called "Sustainability and safety" if possible (or appropriate). Suggested text below:

Fleet upgrades and trials

In May 2021, Cleanaway announced they had installed a new collision avoidance system based on Mobileye technology in most of their heavy vehicles nationally, after completing an earlier trial with the Victorian solid waste service fleet in 2019.

Cleanaway has also been trialling electric collection trucks since 2019 on a council-by-council basis, with the latest trial happening in South Australia.

Update request about UK operations

Hi, Cleanaway UK was acquired by Veolia back in 2006. Cleanaway Waste Management Limited only operates in Australia now. Would like to request the summary be amended to "Founded in 1979 by Brambles, it has extensive operations in Australia."

Can this be added under History:
