Talk:Library of Trinity College Dublin

Name

edit

Is there any reason for this article to have the "Dublin" disambiguator tacked on at the end? I mean, the reason for the main college article having it is that there are lots of other Trinity Colleges, but since there is no article at Trinity College Library then there's no need to disambiguate it, per the terms of WP:DISAMBIG. --Schcamboaon scéal? 13:14, 9 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

File:Trinity_college_dublin_long_room.jpg may be deleted

edit

I have tagged File:Trinity_college_dublin_long_room.jpg, which is in use in this article for deletion because it does not have a copyright tag. If a copyright tag is not added within seven days the image will be deleted. --Chris 00:31, 28 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Star Wars

edit

Is it worth mentioning that the Jedi Archives on Coruscant in the Star Wars series is architecturally (at least internally) based on the Long Room at the library? Helixer (hábleme) 05:18, 28 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Henry Jones?

edit

Which Henry Jones is mentioned in the History section? The link just directs the reader to a disambiguation. Please someone specify which character is he. 09:42, 15 February 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.136.246.50 (talk)

Trinity College Library is a library serving Trinity College Dublin as well as the wider University of Dublin. It is a legal deposit or copyright library, which means that publishers in Ireland must deposit a copy of all their publications in the library, free of charge. It is also the only Irish library to hold such rights for publications in the United Kingdom. Founded at the same time as the college, in 1592, it received its most famous manuscript, the Book of Kells, from Henry Jones in 1661.
