Aromanian determination is irrelevant with the village

edit

Sources about the village consist of an Aromanian origin for the village but this doesn't mean that almost a century later, one can characterize the village as Aromanian.

The village was renamed with a Greek name in 1927 and should be specified as Greek ! (Μετονομασία των οικισμών της Ηπείρου)

Furthermore there are references in the Greek wikipedia that insist in a different origin for the village and the villagers themselves who deny being aromanians and also deny that the aromanian language was ever spoken. OR addition

The table of page 103 shows Tristeno as possibly inhabited by Hellenized Aromanians with an influx of Arvanite families: interpreting it as a case of Aromanian-Albanian settlement is clearly wp:OR.Alexikoua (talk) 19:12, 22 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Kahl in his table has doubts if this was once an Aromanian settlement, now being hellenized. Koukoudis also reads: "Tristeno should not be regarded as a Vlach village, indeed it may never have been" [[2]].Alexikoua (talk) 21:56, 22 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
Can you provide the following quote? The part he talks about "greater detail". Alltan (talk) 21:58, 22 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
"Tristeno should not be regarded as a Vlach village , indeed it may never have been . However , as we shall see in greater detail , there are strong indications that in times gone by there was a Vlach element in other villages and settlements , particularly in Central Zagori ."Alexikoua (talk) 22:14, 22 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
Kahl isn't sure if the locals were once Aromanians & Koukoudis concludes that there were never Aromanians. As such the name 'Arbinasi' is an exonym, the way Aromanian outsiders called it. Nevertheless it can stay in history section.Alexikoua (talk) 14:55, 23 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
