Interim presidency plan
editNoonIcarus, why do you keep removing information about how Guaidó and López reportedly hinged their whole plan on foreign intervention from the United States and allies? The sources report that the two planned directly with the State Department on how to prop up Guaidó without any prior knowledge from the Venezuelan National Assembly. Can you explain why you keep removing sourced information? WMrapids (talk) 19:12, 24 October 2023 (UTC)
- Hi WMrapids. I have responded to some of the issues at Talk:United States involvement in regime change in Latin America#Venezuela intermin president plan.
- Besides what I commented, your claims are either a reach or just plain unlikely. According to your source, this was Leopoldo's and Guaidó's plan in any case, not the US', and if you're familiar with the political crisis you will know that the National Assembly had already declared Maduro's presidency void, and that the National Assembly declared him as acting president shortly after his first cabildo, before backtracking until he formally assumed the position, demonstrating that the Assembly was already aware of his plans. The opposition had already planned to fill Maduro's position weeks before his inauguration, and saying that the declaration took them by surprise does not make sense. --NoonIcarus (talk) 08:46, 25 October 2023 (UTC)
