First experiment with coaling at sea
editAn interesting note regarding the 1899 coaling at sea experiments. While I could find no significant mention of the armored cruiser New York experimenting with coaling at sea, I did find two pictures and one drawing published in different sources that clearly show she did. The November 1899 coaling experiments immediately followed separate testing with a wireless Marconi system, also using the Massachusetts and New York.
