Infobox and lead

edit
  • Replace hlist with bullet points per Template:Infobox song
  • Pipe Spanish to Spanish language
  • Refs are discouraged in infoboxes, so move [1] to the opening section's part about the recording
  • WP:OVERLINK of J Balvin and Bad Bunny in the infobox
  • "singer Bad Bunny and" → "singer Bad Bunny, and" per the form of English used
  • "produced it by themselves, and wrote it" → "produced the song, while they co-wrote it"
  • "Daystar Peterson and" → "Daystar Peterson, and"
  • "in various countries" → "as a single in various countries" with the pipe
  • "pop and reggaeton song" → "pop, and reggaeton song"
  • ""Un Dia (One Day)" reached the top 10" → "The song reached the top 10"
  • "Mexico and Spain." → "Mexico, and Spain."
  • Remove Spanish actress introduction since it being in the body is enough, plus shouldn't you mention the video's release date here?
  • "performed it on" → "performed the song at"

Background and release

edit
  • "in an interview that" → "in an interview,"
  • "recording his vocals for it during" → "recording his vocals during" because we already know this was for the song
  • "Lipa and Bad Bunny wrote the song with" → "Lipa, and Bad Bunny wrote the song alongside"
  • "Daystar Peterson and" → "Daystar Peterson, and"
  • "Tainy recorded it," → "Tainy recorded the song," plus shouldn't you mentioned the Vice part about its recording date around here?
  • "mastered it with Colin Leonard and mixed it with Josh Gudwin." → "handled mastering and mixing with Colin Leonard and Josh Gudwin, respectively."
  • "released three days later," → "released two days later," per the ABC source and the song's actual release date
  • "disintegrating underwater surrounded" → "disintegrating underwater that is surrounded"
  • "cityscapes and fireworks." → "cityscapes, and fireworks."
  • "in various countries" → "as a single in various countries" with the pipe
  • "in Australia and Italy" → "in both Australia and Italy" but why is the label mentioned first in this sentence when it was used for the previous release too?
  • "sent it to that format" → "sent the song to that format"
  • Remove commas before the EP and album, as they are not needed when it isn't in the lead

Music and lyrics

edit
  • ""Un Dia (One Day)" is a" → "Musically, "Un Dia (One Day)" is a"
  • "pop and reggaeton song" → "pop, and reggaeton song"
  • Pipe Spanish to Spanish language
  • "to "see a good thing"" → "to see "a good thing""
  • "court an estranged ex-girlfriend" → "court estranged ex-girlfriends"
  • "Turks and Caicos." → "Turks, and Caicos."

Reception

edit
  • This should be in the below section instead since it is not comp info, plus have Reception as the title and two paras separate
  • Are you sure more reviews can't be added here?
  • I added another one I just found (not sure about the reliability of critical reviews conducted by the Grammy website). Unfortunately, reviewers just did not have many critical things to say about this song.--NØ 07:19, 17 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • "and J Balvin, Bad Bunny and Tainy's" → "with J Balvin, Bad Bunny, and Tainy's"
  • "the "collab of the century"," → "the "[c]ollab of the [c]entury","
  • "positively reviewed it," → "positively reviewed the song,"

Chart performance

edit
  • This has now been moved to the above section and placed in an appropriately titled sub-section, good job!
  • "issued for August 6, 2020." → "issue dated August 6, 2020."
  • "number 63 and topped the" → "number 63, while it topped the US"
  • "certified it 15× Platinum" → "certified the song quindecuple platinum in the US" per tuple
  • "was certified Gold" → "was certified gold"
  • Add (MC) in brackets after Music Canada and follow by "in Canada"
  • The reason I don't do this is because Music Canada is spelled out in full in the certification table, and initialisms are only noted if used later on in the article.--NØ 10:15, 17 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • "of national record charts, at" → "of various national record charts, reaching"
  • "Nicaragua,[36] Panama,[37]" → "Nicaragua,[36] and Panama,[37]"
  • "in Chile,[41] Guatemala,[42]" → "in both Chile and Guatemala,[41][42]"
  • "in Bolivia,[43] Dominican Republic,[44]" → "in both Bolivia and the Dominican Republic,[43][44]"
  • "It received a 3× Platinum+Gold certification in" → "It was certified triple platinum+gold in"
  • "2× Platinum in" → "double Platinum in"
  • "and Platinum in Italy,[48] Portugal.[49]" → "and platinum in both Italy and Portugal.[48][49]"

Music video

edit
  • Merge with the below section, retitling to Music video and promotion
  • "who captured the footage featured in it alone" → "who captured the footage on her own" to be less wordy
  • The nomination info should be moved to being the last sentence of this para
  • "for "The Music Video of 2020" at" → "for The Music Video of 2020 award at"
  • [1] should be moved to the end of the black and white clip part's sentence, plus [52] should be there as well as its current place
  • "trying to find joy." → "trying to find happiness." per the source
  • "she thought that "while going" → "she thought that while "going"

Live performance

edit
  • Make this the second para of the merged section but not split into any sub-sections
  • The video is not sourced as being pre-recorded

Credits and personnel

edit
  • Use {{spaced ndash}} so there is the right space between credits and personnel

Final comments and verdict

edit
  • All done, K. Peake! Thank you so much for the review. It has recently been pointed out to me that certification titles like "Gold", "Platinum", etc. should not be lowercased since we are referring to titles of an award, not the chemical elements. It's the same way we would uppercase "music video" when saying "It earned a nomination for the Music Video of 2020 award", but lowercase it elsewhere.--NØ 10:15, 17 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
