Morris Udall
editMorris Udall gave the Carter campaign a fight for the nomination. Udall finished second in the New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, New York, Michigan, South Dakota, and Ohio primaries, and won the caucuses in his home state of Arizona, while running even with Carter in the New Mexico caucuses. Udall finished a distant second place to Carter at the Democratic National Convention, where his name was placed in nomination by Archibald Cox, and Udall's speech received great applause from his supporters. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.126.179.253 (talk) 00:38, 19 July 2012 (UTC)

Double-check or add reference (candidates coming from the Midwest)
editThis was the last election until 2024 where both of the major vice presidential candidates were from the Midwestern United States.
Last paragraph before the index?? Neither Kamala nor Trump (or Biden) come from the Midwestern United States, do they? 85.152.246.66 (talk) 10:09, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
