The actual timeline showing the campaigns...
editI thought I read somewhere that McAfee refused to end his campaign. I know Petersen did, but can someone confirm McAfee did too? Ghoul flesh (talk) 17:35, 11 June 2016 (UTC)
Bernie Sanders Drop Out
editI'm getting conflicting reports, everyone keeps changing it to July 26, but sources say it's in late June and some others say it's July 12. Should I just undo the revisions or should I just leave it.--JJBers (talk) 12:31, 27 July 2016 (UTC)
- Endorsing Clinton was not formally dropping out. His campaign ended by losing the nomination at the Democratic National Convention on the 26th of July. BrendonTheWizard (talk) 20:49, 9 October 2016 (UTC)

Include 25th October F&E Presidential Debate
editOn the 25th of October, the Free & Equal Elections Foundation hosts one debate, inviting Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, Gary Johnson, and Jill Stein at the University of Colorado Boulder in Boulder, Colorado. Attempts to include this have been removed. While the Commission on Presidential Debates does not host this, it is still a presidential debates. Only candidates capable of winning are invited. This should be added to the October section. BrendonTheWizard (talk) 23:32, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
- The reason it was removed is there is very little outside of 1st party sources that can be found. It also looks like soap-boxing too, but that isn't the reason it was removed. — JJBers (talk) 23:37, 6 October 2016 (UTC)23:36, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
- Update: I accidentally put 26th when this debate actually takes place on the 25th.
- What do you mean by 1st party sources? Are you referring to mentions of it on Wikipedia or on the F&E website itself?

- This debate is already listed on the United States presidential election, 2016 article, so why exclude it from the timeline?
- For what reason is it soap-boxing? The wording could be revised but it will be updated anyways after the debate takes place to account for which candidates do and do not show up. There is no consensus to remove it from the article about the election itself and by extension insufficient reason to exclude it from the timeline. BrendonTheWizard (talk) 20:42, 9 October 2016 (UTC)
- I've re-added it but this time I have proper citations and the wording is verbatim as it appears on the United States presidential election, 2016 article. Additionally, I have added one new section with the table from the main article. This table will be updated after the debates occur to account for the participants. If there's still any issues with it, please reply. BrendonTheWizard (talk) 22:32, 12 October 2016 (UTC)
- @BrendonTheWizard: Much better than last time, but I re-worded to match the tone of the debates listed above, making it as neutral as possible. I also removed the table due to it just simply not needing to be there, it just doesn't fit with the rest of the timeline.— JJBers (talk) 23:08, 12 October 2016 (UTC)
- I also removed 2 first party refs, but left the lone 3rd party ref in the mention.— JJBers (talk) 23:10, 12 October 2016 (UTC)
- This works for the time being, though after the debate takes place it may need to be updated to account for which parties attend. BrendonTheWizard (talk) 23:52, 12 October 2016 (UTC)
- @BrendonTheWizard: Great! I'll do that when it's needed.— JJBers (talk) 02:00, 13 October 2016 (UTC)

Referring to Clinton by just her first name
editSeveral places it just refers to her as "Hillary". It should be her first and last name. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.214.115.237 (talk) 02:52, 12 December 2016 (UTC)
Photos of Trump and Pence
editAny thoughts of including photos of Donald Trump and Mike Pence, who putatively participated in the 2016 Presidential election>? MaynardClark (talk) 01:19, 4 February 2018 (UTC)
