Vahan I MamikonianVahan Mamikonian – There has only been one notable person named Vahan Mamikonian, why have "first" in the title? Google Books shows only 3 results for "Vahan I Mamikonian" and 1,260 for "Vahan Mamikonian". Երևանցի talk 19:10, 15 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

About Shapur of Ray

edit

Wasn't he only FORMAL marzpan appointed by Shahinshah of Persia, who didn't actually serve as marzpan? I've read (can't name the source exactly) that after dead of Sahak Bagratuni the role of marzpan took Vahan himself LexaneAlex (talk) 09:27, 11 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Seems like there is information missing in this article. Anyways, both the French (which this article is translated from) and Portugese version of this article, the latter written by a great Wikipedian, states that Shapur of Ray was his predecessor. --HistoryofIran (talk) 11:49, 11 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
