Early life and education

To me it seems that the first two paragraphs in this section are not really written in the style that one would expect from an encyclopedia, namely objectively. Does one have a right to study an STEM curriculum, and if yes, did one have to fight for it? Also I do not find these claims in the references given here. Could we perhaps condense this to a matter-of-fact "Thomas was born in Baltimore, MD. Coming from an adverse background, she attended..."? Seattle Jörg (talk) 21:02, 1 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
