Kyiv Post translates her name as "Valeriya Gontareva", it's consistent with Cirillic letters. look here. It should be like in with other transcriptions from Cirillic => Максим Горький => Maksim Gorkij, not "Horkij". Wieralee (talk) 07:42, 22 April 2015 (UTC)

Valeriya Gontaryeva → Valeria Gontareva – Wikipedia:COMMONNAME. After quick Googling her it seems the (current) most common English spelling of her name is Valeria Gontareva; as lately used by (big news agencies) Reuters, CNBC and Bloomberg News (and also (even if it is not the most "Ukrainian way" to spell her name) by The Ukrainian Weekly). I think all mentions of Valeria Gontareva on English Wikipedia should use the same spelling of her name which was not the case when I wrote this as pointed out by Toddy1 on 10 April 2017 on my Talkpage. — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 15:06, 18 April 2017 (UTC) --Relisting. • Oppose. Subject is Ukrainian, not Russian, and neither the current form nor the proposed form represents Ukrainian transliteration. The original main title header on June 19, 2014 was the Ukrainian form, Valeriya Hontaryeva, which was moved on the same day to another Ukrainian transliteration, Valeriya Hontareva, and remained so until February 26, 2017 when it was moved to the Russian form, Valeriya Gontaryeva.
  There is no letter "G" in Ukrainian and there is no letter "H" in Russian. News outlets and most other venues of communication have been using Russian transliteration for Ukrainian names over many decades. Such subjective transliteration is discussed in greater length at Talk:Oleg Sentsov#Requested move 21 October 2016 and at Wikipedia talk:Article titles/Archive 55#Article names in other Wikipedias.
  For the record, despite Kyiv Post's use of the Russian transliteration for Hontareva, there is sufficient evidence of the Ukrainian form's use. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 07:29, 19 April 2017 (UTC)

• Support either "Valeriya Gontareva" or "Valeria Gontareva". This is English language Wikipedia. We should use the names used in English-language sources wherever possible.

A search on Google news (UK version) showed that "Valeriya Gontareva" and "Valeria Gontareva" were the most common in use in current news coverage in English.

• "Valeriya Gontaryeva" 4 results, none in English.
• "Valeriya Hontareva" 15 results, 9 in English.
• "Valeriya Gontareva" 300 results, many in English. There are a fair number of false positives.
• "Valeria Gontareva" 398 results, many in English. There are a fair number of false positives.

A search on Google is less reliable because it shows so many hits in other languages. Google (UK version) searches showed the following :

• "Valeriya Gontaryeva" 96 results (200 including omitted results)
• "Valeriya Hontaryeva" 126 results (200 including omitted results)
• "Valeriya Gontareva" 140 results (214 including omitted results)
• "Valeria Gontareva" 153 results (280 including omitted results)

Note that the bank that she is governor of uses the English-language spelling "Valeria Gontareva".[1] Given that the Annual Report for 2015 uses the spelling "Valeria Gontareva" by her signature, we can be certain which spelling she uses.-- Toddy1 (talk) 09:49, 19 April 2017 (UTC)

Is this relevant

In her official public income declaration for 2013, Gontaryeva stated an income of 3.884.679 UAH,a car park with an Infinity FX35, a Porsche Cayenne, a Porsche Panamera, a Toyota Landcruiser and several real estates. The official salary of the governor of the National Bank of Ukraine is actually at 163.000 UAH (approx. 6.500 USD) per month.

I don't think she owning several cars is relevant in those articles. Also the salary should be placed somehwere else, in the National Bank of Ukraine page for example. Triplecaña (talk) 11:05, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
