Harry Potter and the illusive midges

edit

The article says "Recently the lake has been used by the crews for the Harry Potter films for lakeside scenes, as there is a high population of midges in Scotland, where the vast majority of the films outdoor scenes are filmed." Can anyone come with a citation for this? I can think of many reasons for filming at Virginia Water, but the match of its midges to those of Scotland sounds the least likely. My wife saw the filming. I think it's listed in the credits at the end of one of the films, but can't remember which one. Verica Atrebatum 09:55, 31 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Firstly, it was filmed there to AVOID the midges, not reproduce them 8-)
Secondly, it was the Prisoner of Azaban

I've created a page for Virginia Water Lake so I've abreviated what's here. SuzanneKn 19:52, 30 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
