This information page on Walter Bowes has been re-created by Vlbastekzeta (talk) 16:49, 11 July 2008 (UTC) on behalf of Pitney Bowes for the purposes of sharing information with the community. The page was deleted in May 2008 after I blanked the page following a decision to hold the page until the photo was obtained. Since we now have the photo and all acurate biographical information, we have decided to make this page live once again.Reply

edit

Due to the current question regarding neutrality, I would like to propose the following edits to this article:

Second sentence: Remove "great" before salesman

Replace the second paragraph in the biography section with this paragraph: He began his career as a salesman. In one of his earliest jobs at the Addressograph Company, an Iowa-based manufacturer of addressing systems, he achieved some success—but quit the company after a year so he could sail his 23-foot sloop.

Replace second sentence in third paragraph of biography section with this: Within a few years, his company had established relationships with the U.S. Postal Service, providing stamp-canceling machines on a rental basis.

All other information is referenced in the References section. If there are still questions about neutrality, please bring them up here. If not, I will change the article by August 1. Vlbastekzeta (talk) 21:18, 23 July 2008 (UTC) on behalf of Pitney BowesReply

removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV

edit

I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:

This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
  1. There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
  2. It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
  3. In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.

Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 13:08, 14 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
