This article would benefit from a little more detail of the techniques involved, and their background - are they particular to Okinawa, for instance, or more widespread? Do styles vary in different areas? Since Easter is a Christian festival, is this a Japanese response to that, or a pre-existing festival? Please supply references for any additions. It seems that the difference between Easter eggs and Washi eggs is one of technique--Washi eggs aren't usually edible, having been decorated with glue varnish and paper, whereas Easter eggs usually are, being traditionally made with food dye. Also, Easter eggs origins are from Christianity, and Washi eggs come from Japan. --I dream of horses (T) @ 01:00, 30 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
