Is It Active

edit

The GSA seems to be selling it, so is it really an active lighthouse? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:4898:80E8:3:0:0:0:B2 (talk) 22:46, 4 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Not "stub" or "start" class anymore

The ratings here do not reflect the present state of the article. 7&6=thirteen (talk) 15:07, 11 March 2010 (UTC) StanReply

I'm assessing this as C-class. I'll offer the following suggestions for further improvement:
  • Consider improving the references using {{cite}} or something similar to give more complete citaion information. WP:REFLINKS is a useful tool to help with this.
  • I don't think there should be photographs in the External links section. Also, consider whether each external link meets the criteria in WP:EL.
  • Portions of the article (especially in "Description", "Popular culture", and "Seeing the light" sections) are written in an overly promotional tone.
  • The "History" section seems to me to include excessive information about the Great Lakes lighthouses in general, and very little information about this particular light. cmadler (talk) 13:29, 17 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
Still active. 7&6=thirteen () 21:40, 5 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
Interestingly, your comment on citations and suggestion that we use "reflinks" misses the point that these are all complete citations.
You also missed the boat in terms of "history" as the information puts this lighthouse into context.
The article is also complete and thorough on the history and particulars of this light.
This is at least a B. But niffnawing over ratings is not helping build and encyclopedia. 7&6=thirteen () 21:46, 5 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
