Wilf Smith - Name change.
editI believe the story of Wilf Smith’s name change to be incorrect. A very well researched book, ‘The Wednesday Boys’ by Jason Dickinson and John Brodie states that Smith is the son of a British soldier stationed in Germany and a German mother. His first name was changed from Wolfgang to Wilfred when the family moved to Sheffield. He was never called Schmidt. 89.240.188.169 (talk) 00:17, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
