Same day as the cited NY Times obituary, 1910-07-08, newspapers in Baltimore, Washington, and Detroit published shorter items. New-York Tribune published a longer obituary (p7), "William J. Rolfe Dead: Shakespearian Scholar Succumbs to Infirmities of Age", and Boston Globe a much much longer obituary (p1), "Death Claims Dr W. J.
