William L. ("T") Thompson → William Thompson (aeronautics commissioner) – or William Thompson (government commissioner) – open to ideas. WP:NICKNAME: "Avoid (for example) adding a nickname, or a contracted version of the original given name(s), in quotes or parentheses between first and last name." This article has such a nickname with both quote marks and parentheses. The article is not sourced to any online sources, and I have not found much. His LinkedIn profile and the cover of at least one book he wrote do not include the "L." The book is credited on Amazon to Captain William "T" Thompson Esq. I think the "T" might be short for "Thompson". — BarrelProof (talk) 19:17, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- Support. Appears to be commonly known as William Thompson or William T. Thompson, never William L. William T. Thompson (Nebraska politician) exists, so the undisambiguated William T. Thompson is not an option. 162 etc. (talk) 22:12, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
