Some thoughts

edit

Glad to see another outstanding article created by TLP. After reading through the French mission document, I think a bit more elaboration on the communist devastation may be considered.

General situation – "It is very difficult to accurately assess the devastation wrought [by the communists]. [...] Eight of our large residences in the Vicariate were completely pillaged by the communists, and most of the others had to be used housing for the troops who continued to flock to the province. Our losses, of course, are considerable, and I wonder when we will be able to restore everything." (Kweiyang, p. 1) Consider summarizing the general situation in the Vicariate with one or two sentences.

What happened in Tseny – "Tseny and Tongtse have even been occupied on two or three occasions. The missionaries succeeded each time in finding refuge in the nearby Christian families, sometimes even in mountain caves, and each time, as soon as the communists left, our fellow missionaries returned to their posts. No church or residence was destroyed, but all things were looted, to the point that we had to send there, without delay, a small supply of the most essential objects to restore the sacristy and reassemble the wardrobe of the robbed missionaries." (Kweiyang, p. 2) Consider incorporating this piece of information into the body text.

These are merely suggestions, not requirements.

P.S. You forgot to swap in Guizhou for Shaanxi. Uriel1022 (talk) 15:35, 10 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Greatly appreciated, Uriel1022. I made some more edits according to your suggestions. I will vehemently deny that I copy-paste my infoboxes and did not swap out Guizhou for Shaanxi. Cheers, --The Lonely Pather (talk) 18:40, 10 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
