Rabbi Shimon Sofer, the Michtav Sofer, was the brother of the Ksav Sofer, not his son.[1] Does this affect the Erlau history? Yoninah (talk) 10:07, 18 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

I just read it again and see that Shimon Sofer is also the Ksav Sofer's son. But why does this name link to the Hebrew Wikipedia? Yoninah (talk) 13:32, 19 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Dear Yoninah, You are right 100%, the link should not be there. The Chasam Sofer had a son Shimon who was Rabbi of Krakow, known as Michtav Sofer. The Ksav Sofer (son of Chasam Sofer) also had a son Shimon who authored the Sefarim Hisorerus Tshuva and Shir Maon. As written in article, he was Rabbi of Erlau until the outbreak of WWII.
