If the page for the party is under Left (Norway) then why isn't this page under Young Left (Norway)? --KayEss 15:14, 27 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Unge Venstre are internationally known as the Young Liberals. While "Young Left" is literally the correct translation, it is nonetheless a misleading one for a youth party that is vividly pro market and is firmly placed to the right of the centre on the political left-right scale.
The word "Left" (Venstre) has historical connations, referring to the grouping in parliament that used to sit, physically, on the left. But in the English-language Wikipedia, the party's English-language name should be used, rather than the literal translation of an historical name whose history is so obviously lost in translation.
The official international name of the organization which in norwegian is known as "Unge Venstre", is "Young Liberals of Norway". Jorgekr 21:14, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
