Season 5?
editWill there actually be a Season 5 in the US, due to the amount of episodes on this page? If there will be, then will you guys mind creating that page for me? Besides, even if you are unsure, it won't be too long before we get the answers that we need. But until then, would you guys mind clarifying a few things if neccissary? Thank you! 68.6.149.218 (talk) 23:03, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
- Determining the cutoff for seasons is pretty tricky on Wiki terms. Usually you need some kind of source such as DVD releases (since 'they got a new OP song' doesn't quite cut it round these parts), but since the Japanese DVDs don't particularly seem to mention any particular season, we're dividing them up according to how the English episodes are divided. (ie. since the US 3rd season finale ended on the Crashtown arc, that's where we split off onto the season 4 list.) There probably won't be a season 5 episode list until a fourth season has been dubbed with a decisive season finale. Wonchop (talk) 16:36, 6 February 2011 (UTC)
- Well, there is a high possibility a the English dub having a 5th and final season, as 4Kids Entertainment never had a Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's season run longer than the length of 36 episodes, so it is quite reasonable that Episode 129 may be a Season 4 finale in the English dub (since there is a new Japenese theme song there, and that is where the Signers actually begin to face off against Yliaster's 3 emperors), and that Episodes 130 onwards forms the English dub's 5th and final season (and if there will be a 5th Season, it will definatly be the final season, due to the ZONE duels being the final battle). Also, the end of the duel against Team Ragnorak makes a good Season 4 finale, and episode 130 makes a good Season 5 opening, due to its recap. nature. And also, episodes 93 to 129 are all WRGP episode, while episodes 130 to 154 have to do with dueling against Yliaster, and the Signers attempts to save New Domino City from the Ark Cradle, which really does make a good story arc division. And the "Season 4" would have 37 episodes, while "Season 5" will have 25 episodes, which is near perfect for 2 different seasons by 4Kids standards. But then again, like you said earlier, there is no way to know if any of this is completely true, until the time comes that they announce the title of the English dub's Season 4 finale. It's not that I'm saying that we should create a Season 5 page in advance, no, but my point is that we should keep a heads up that there may actually be a Season 5, so that we can be prepared to create a Season 5 page if needed. Oh, and as for the Japanese version, they do have seasons too, episodes 1 to 64 are their Season 1, and episodes 65 to 154 are their Season 2. 72.197.237.120 (talk) 02:36, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
Could it be possible to call all of the episodes following the final dubbed episode the 5th season? Like the 4th season of GX, it was never dubbed and had a different OP than most of the dubbed episodes. Although, that would make all of the other undubbed episodes still in Season 4...hrm. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.105.43.87 (talk) 06:28, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
Fight for the Future
editShouldn't there be a sub header above episode 138 because the Ark Cradle was a seperate arc (138 or 137-154) 86.15.144.198 (talk) 09:14, 30 October 2011 (UTC)
- You mean the Fight for the Future story arc, that spans Episodes 135-154? (Season 5). Yes, you have a good point there. In fact, Toonzai announced a "world premire" of Season 5 on September 11, 2010 (even though only the first 2 episodes were dubbed into English). Also, every episode in Season 5 had (or would have had) the title Fight for the Future, just like Episodes 135 and 136. Not to worry, I have just created the appropropriate page for Season 5, and also removed that page's content from the Season 4 article. I hope you like it!
