Court case
editIs HIGHLY notable to the repercussions of this case. All the content is from the judgement and the case page is building it from there and elsewhere.Lihaas (talk) 23:59, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
- It may well be notable, but (a) using a student's blog as a source and (b) violating copyright are unacceptable ways of getting the information into the article. Find a better source and don't copy and paste it and change a few words. Number 57 00:05, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
- The case page is under construction for which WP gives 7 days. You've tagged it fair enough and the page aint running way. im not a robot to read through the cases in a jiffy. itll get done and id appreciate your patience and/or help, which you are welcome to add to. thxLihaas (talk) 01:04, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
- The case article is irrelevant - only what is on this article is. You have used a clearly unreliable source, and even worse, in a fashion that is a fairly obvious copyvio. You need to fix the latter asap. Number 57 01:06, 30 October 2014 (UTC)

Zambian presidential election, 2015 → Zambian presidential by-election, 2015 – This is a by-election. Source. Ali Fazal (talk) 12:37, 20 January 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose We don't generally call these sorts of elections by-elections, and there are plenty of precedents, including Zambian presidential election, 2008. One instance of it being called a by-election doesn't make it the case (the other article currently live on the BBC does not call it a by-election). Number 57 12:55, 20 January 2015 (UTC)

Map
edit@-A-M-B-1996-, Lightonphiri, and Furfur: I noticed the infobox map was updated, and there are significant differences between the mew map and the old one, which means they must be using different data:
- File:2015 Zambia Presidential Election Results by Constituency.svg has several constituencies won by Lungu in south-western half of the country and several won by Hichilema in the north-eastern half.
- File:2015 Zambia Presidential Election Results by Constituency 2.svg has each candidate winning virtually every constituency in each half of the country.
Which one is using the correct figures? Cheers, Number 57 23:29, 1 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Number 57: The second is the only one with a stated source in its description and that source is the official Electoral Commission of Zambia, though I confess that several of the images on the site appear misplaced and it's not immediately clear to me where the exact percentages are. There doesn't appear to be any map for the 2016 results, and the 2015 results map (which matches the one currently used on the 2016 wiki) is listed under the 2016 heading. The map used on this article is also completely absent from the site. I suppose I will defer to the authors of the two maps; thank you for pinging them. -A-M-B-1996- (talk) 23:36, 1 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Number 57 and -A-M-B-1996-: Hello all, I used the data from the Zambian Election Commission ("2015 Presidential Election"). This was correctly stated in the linked article and I now have corrected this in the source field of the map. The maps under https://www.elections.org.zm/verc/estatistics.php are indeed a bit confusing. E.g., under "2016 ELECTION STATISTICS", "2015 ELECTION STATISTICS" and "2011 ELECTION STATISTICS" always the same map entitled "Map showing the 2015 Presidential Elecrtion Results" is shown which basically appears to show the results of the 2011 presidential election (the map is nevertheless helpful because it shows the constituency borders which were slightly changed in 2016). --Furfur ⁂ Diskussion 00:11, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
- Here are some constituencies where the two maps differ (you can find the constituency locations in the above mentioned maps or here): MWINILUNGA (North-Western province), MUFUMBWE (North-Western province), MUCHINGA (Muchinga province), MALAMBO (Eastern province). According to the source, the second map should be correct. --Furfur ⁂ Diskussion 00:31, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
