editIn the onset of this article, little is done to establish Zara Yaqob in geography or relative to contemporaries. Reading the article, I feel overwhelmed by a list of names. (comment by SVT Cobra, 3 May 2005)
- Wow, this is a GA? Amda Seyon I will surely pass, then. I'll try to work on this and expand it. — ዮም (Yom) | contribs • Talk • E 23:10, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
Messy Starts
editI think (seeing how this is nominated for GA (Good Article)) that the opening sentence, where most users (or readers of WP (Wikipedia)) would be inclined to start an article or biography, could stand to have less parenthetical references, and of non-English words, like nəgusä nägäst (which links to the Anglicized Emperor of Ethiopia), yes? --Knulclunk 14:45, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
GA Sweeps
editThis article has been reviewed as part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Good articles/Project quality task force. Although this article has remained essentially unchanged in the last three years, I believe the article currently meets the criteria and should remain listed as a Good article. Its a close thing, and it is possible that I simply know so little of Ethiopian history that I am missing a lack of comprehensiveness here. Equally, sources may be scarce and this is the best that can be done, certainly the sources seem good. The article could also use some images. The article history has been updated to reflect this review. Regards, Jackyd101 (talk) 09:29, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
