Usage

When you create or find a new page within the scope of WikiProject Amusement Parks please add any of the following to the top of its talk page:

Unused parameters may be omitted. This template automatically adds articles to Category:Amusement park articles.

Optional parameters

• cedar – set |cedar=yes if the article is supported by Cedar Fair Entertainment Company task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:Cedar Fair Entertainment Company articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Cedar Fair Entertainment Company articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
  • cedar-importance (only used if |cedar=yes is set; uses the same values as |importance=) – Importance rating within Cedar Fair Entertainment Company task force
    • This importance rating populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Cedar Fair Entertainment Company articles by importance.
• class – valid values are listed in the custom class mask. See the project's quality scale for details. Setting an explicit value of NA is rarely necessary; for this, either leave |class= blank or omit the parameter.
• coaster – set |coaster=yes if the article is supported by Roller Coasters task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:WikiProject Roller Coasters articles and lists, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Roller coaster articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
  • coaster-importance (only used if |coaster=yes is set; uses the same values as |importance=) – Importance rating within Roller Coasters task force
    • This importance rating populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Roller coaster articles by importance.
  • If |Imageneeded=yes is also set, this parameter populates Category:Wikipedia requested images of roller coasters.
• disney – set |disney=yes if the article is supported by Walt Disney Parks and Resorts task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:Walt Disney Parks and Resorts articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Walt Disney Parks and Resorts articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
  • disney-importance (only used if |disney=yes is set; uses the same values as |importance=) – Importance rating within Walt Disney Parks and Resorts task force
    • This importance rating populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Walt Disney Parks and Resorts articles by importance.
• herschend – set |herschend=yes if the article is supported by Herschend Family Entertainment task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:Herschend Family Entertainment articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Herschend Family Entertainment articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
  • herschend-importance (only used if |herschend=yes is set; uses the same values as |importance=) – Importance rating within Herschend Family Entertainment task force
    • This importance rating populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Herschend Family Entertainment articles by importance.
• hersheypark – set |hersheypark=yes if the article is supported by Hersheypark task force (inactive).
  • This parameter populates Category:Hersheypark task force articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Hersheypark articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
  • hersheypark-importance (only used if |hersheypark=yes is set; uses the same values as |importance=) – Importance rating within Hersheypark task force (inactive)
    • This importance rating populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Hersheypark articles by importance.
• Imageneeded – set |Imageneeded=yes to request that an image be added to the article.
  • This parameter populates Category:Wikipedia requested images of amusement parks.
  • Imagedetails (appears only if |Imageneeded=yes is set) – Additional details to describe the image that is requested.
• importance – valid values are listed in the custom importance mask. See the project's importance scale for details. Setting an explicit value of NA is rarely necessary; for this, either leave |importance= blank or omit the parameter.
• listas – This parameter, which is the equivalent of the DEFAULTSORT sortkey that should be placed on all biographical articles, is a sortkey for the article talk page (e.g. for Ron Toomer, use |listas=Toomer, Ron so that the talk page will show up in the T's and not the R's of the various assessment and administrative categories). This is important because it is one source used by those who set DEFAULTSORT on the article; consider also setting the DEFAULTSORT for the article when setting this parameter. For more information about this, please see Wikipedia:Categorization of people § Ordering names in a category.
  If the article is using {{WikiProject banner shell}} then it is preferable to add |listas= to that template instead of a project banner template. Putting the parameter on more than one template is not required.
• merlin – set |merlin=yes if the article is supported by Merlin Entertainments task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:Merlin Entertainments articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Merlin Entertainments articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
  • merlin-importance (only used if |merlin=yes is set; uses the same values as |importance=) – Importance rating within Merlin Entertainments task force
    • This importance rating populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Merlin Entertainments articles by importance.
• seaworld – set |seaworld=yes if the article is supported by SeaWorld Entertainment task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:SeaWorld Entertainment articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:SeaWorld Entertainment articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
  • seaworld-importance (only used if |seaworld=yes is set; uses the same values as |importance=) – Importance rating within SeaWorld Entertainment task force
    • This importance rating populates the relevant subcategory of Category:SeaWorld Entertainment articles by importance.
• sixflags – set |sixflags=yes if the article is supported by Six Flags task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:Six Flags articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Six Flags articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
  • sixflags-importance (only used if |sixflags=yes is set; uses the same values as |importance=) – Importance rating within Six Flags task force
    • This importance rating populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Six Flags articles by importance.
• uk – set |uk=yes if the article is supported by UK Theme Parks (inactive).
  • This parameter populates Category:UK Theme Park task force articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:UK Theme Park articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
  • uk-importance (only used if |uk=yes is set; uses the same values as |importance=) – Importance rating within UK Theme Parks (inactive)
    • This importance rating populates the relevant subcategory of Category:UK Theme Park articles by importance.
• universal – set |universal=yes if the article is supported by Universal Parks & Resorts task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:Universal Parks & Resorts task force articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Universal Parks & Resorts articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
  • universal-importance (only used if |universal=yes is set; uses the same values as |importance=) – Importance rating within Universal Parks & Resorts task force
    • This importance rating populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Universal Parks & Resorts articles by importance.
• unref – set |unref=yes to indicate that the article lacks sufficient references and/or adequate inline citations.
  • This parameter populates Category:Amusement park articles needing references.
• auto – This parameter is for the use of bots and indicates that the article has been automatically rated:
  • |auto=length – based on the length of the article
  • |auto=inherit – because one or more other projects use this class
  • |auto=yes (or |auto=stub), in conjunction with |class=stub – as Stub-Class because it uses a stub template
    • Use of the above values (or value combinations) with this parameter populates Category:Automatically assessed Amusement Parks articles.
• category – set |category=no if, and only if, a banner is being used for demonstration or testing purposes, to prevent unnecessary or undesirable categorization. Otherwise, omit this parameter.

Aliases

• The parameters |disneyland= and |wdw= are recognised as aliases for |disney=. If more than one is present, |disneyland= has precedence over |wdw=, and |disney= has precedence over both of the others: parameters with lower precedence are ignored.

• The parameters |disneyland-importance= and |wdw-importance= are recognised as aliases for |disney-importance=. If more than one is present, |disneyland-importance= has precedence over |wdw-importance=, and |disney-importance= has precedence over both of the others: parameters with lower precedence are ignored.

• The parameter |Hersheypark-importance= is recognised as an alias for |hersheypark-importance=. If both |hersheypark-importance= and |Hersheypark-importance= are present, |Hersheypark-importance= is ignored.

• The parameters |imageneeded=, |Photoneeded= and |photoneeded= are recognised as aliases for |Imageneeded=. If more than one is present, the order of precedence, from highest to lowest, is: |Imageneeded= → |imageneeded= → |Photoneeded= → |photoneeded= . Parameters with lower precedence are ignored.

• The parameter |UK= is recognised as an alias for |uk=. If both |uk= and |UK= are present, |UK= is ignored.

• The parameter |UK-importance= is recognised as an alias for |uk-importance=. If both |uk-importance= and |UK-importance= are present, |UK-importance= is ignored.
