Boston Manor tube station
edit... that Boston Manor owned Tiffany's?Source: A lampshade branded Tiffany was above the roundel "Boston Manor Underground station, District line, exterior view". that Tiffany was next to Boston Manor?

- Comment: I was thinking of adding this as an April Fool's joke. Is this funny enough?

- Date and length fine. As for the hooks, they are all very rich for April Fools. My personal favourite is the original though I feel you may need to reword the text in the article for it to be accepted. Otherwise ALT1 is my second favourite. @Vincent60030:, as you now have 5 DYK credits, you do need to do a QPQ now before I can pass it. No close paraphrasing. Just needs the QPQ and I can pass it. - @The C of E: Hello! Sure I’ll just slide this in: Template:Did you know nominations/Super League XXIV. VincentLUFan (talk) (Kenton!) 09:50, 20 February 2019 (UTC)
- Ha ha, that's the reason why I didn't make any hook proposal of my own, I hate seeing people's nominations get hijacked as mine had there (especially if it's going in April fools day). Good to go for April Fools Day then! The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 09:58, 20 February 2019 (UTC)
These are all very weak hooks IMO. I've struck two as being plainly substandard but am struggling to come up with a substantially better hook. Gatoclass (talk) 23:06, 28 March 2019 (UTC).
The best I've been able to come up with is:
- ALT0a:
... that a British manor owned Tiffany's?
EEng, any ideas for this one? Gatoclass (talk) 00:51, 29 March 2019 (UTC).
- I'm coming up dry on this one. Honestly, the proposed hooks seems strained for April 1 and I think this is best run as an everyday DYK:
- ALT3 ... that Boston Manor tube station once featured a Tiffany lampshade?

- Kinda disappointed looking at this result...I was really hoping for an April Fool’s...is it really that not April Fool’s worthy? VincentLUFan (talk) (Kenton!) 04:18, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: @Narutolovehinata5: any opinions and advice? VincentLUFan (talk) (Kenton!) 04:20, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
- Also courtesy ping @Cwmhiraeth: since you are active in DYK and live near London afaik VincentLUFan (talk) (Kenton!) 04:22, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
- I hope you understand I did the best I can, but I have to call 'em as I see 'em. EEng 04:51, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
- Unfortunately I have to agree with EEng here: there really doesn't seem to be anything hook worthy that could be used in the article. I would have suggested the labyrinth thing, but apparently all London Underground stations have them, so it isn't even unique. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 04:53, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
