Forced evictions in Azerbaijan
edit- ... that since 2008, the government of Azerbaijan has confiscated and demolished the homes of several thousand people in the capital city of Baku?

- . I understand, nominator is probably busy now with his Requests for adminship; so, forgive me for being a bit difficult, but I'm having an unsettling feeling about the excessive use of the paragraph-long direct quotations in reference section of this article. Potentially a WP:COPY issue, it can also be seen as a backdoor method of inserting non-neutral language. Please see Wikipedia:Quotations#Overusing quotations for more info. Otherwise, everything else seem compliant with the rules... The hook sounds a bit angry though. Poeticbent talk 20:26, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hmm, you might be right about the references. Can you give me some specifics as to what I might want to consider cutting? Thanks in advance. Master&Expert (Talk) 00:19, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- How does the Azeri government justify its behaviour? Everything you have is critical and from foreign sources. The addition of killing pet animals feels emotively POV. Secretlondon (talk) 07:22, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- They either deny that it's happening, or they justify it by pointing to the necessity in doing so. I've removed the killing of pet animals bit; upon reflection, I agree with you there. Master&Expert (Talk) 07:28, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- I think you need to include some of that in the article.Secretlondon (talk) 07:57, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- Of course I do. I'm just figuring out how to incorporate it. I've already begun the process of fixing it up per NPOV; that should come along very shortly. Master&Expert (Talk) 08:19, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- Great :) Secretlondon (talk) 08:31, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- This is much better from a POV perspective. Would it be legitimate to call some of this slum clearance? Secretlondon (talk) 20:17, 13 August 2012 (UTC)

- Weeks have passed and yet, my concerns were not addressed by the nominator. Sorry. I took time explaining what needs to be done and what policy/guideline it applies to. The reference section is ripe with loaded language in a form of paragraph-long quotations (up to 150 quoted words each) copy-pasted from Copyright © 2012 Human Rights Watch. This is incompatible with the encyclopedic writing style. Poeticbent talk 00:26, 25 August 2012 (UTC)
