Comment: Consider that I just did DYK nom Bryan Holaday. Should this one be a double? Or does that get lost by the main article?

Article is new enough, long enough, nominated in time (just a note, you have added this on 8 June, when the article was created 7 June, you have also added Bryan Holaday to the wrong date), neutral, have inline citations. The hook is cited and interesting. If you want (it's up to you, really) you can combine these two hooks, but either way you'll need an additional QPQ. I'll put Bryan Holaday on hold, so that it doesn't get approved before you decide if you want a combined hook. Mentoz86 (talk) 10:10, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

ALT1: ... that Bryan Holaday was named the Most Valuable Player of the Houston College Classic in 2010?
- I'm not sure. On the one hand, ALT1 might detract too much from the Classic itself. On the other hand, I might be totally off. I'll put it in the hands of whoever closes the noms. – Muboshgu (talk) 21:14, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

ALT3: ... that Kelly Shoppach (pictured) was named Most Outstanding Player of the inaugural Houston College Classic?
ALT4: ... that the 2005 Houston College Classic included four teams ranked among college baseball's Top 25?

I'd go for separate hooks. All three hooks are sourced and good to go. ALT3 is the preferred hook with picture, but without picture I find ALT2 most interesting. I also struck the original hook, so that it isn't used. Mentoz86 (talk) 13:07, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
