The Discussion top
and Discussion bottom
templates are used to close discussions on a talk page or a noticeboard.
When used on a talk page, these templates should only be used by uninvolved editors or administrators in conjunction with the talk page guidelines and relevant advice at Wikipedia:Refactoring. They should not be used by involved parties to end a discussion over the objections of other editors.
Usage
Place Discussion top
below the header containing the discussion, then place Discussion bottom
at the end of the discussion. A summary of the conclusions reached may be included as a parameter in the former.
Again: Place them below the header. Do not include the header, it will break archiving bots!
Example

I suggest that we make a template to note completed discussions. Example (talk) 13:05, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
* How about calling it discussion top and discussion bottom? Jimbo Wales (talk) 06:44, 3 September 2015 (UTC)
