Renaming your account
editHello. I have noticed that you moved your userpage and I assume you did this because you wanted to change your username. However, moving your user page does not change your username. If you want to change your username you can:
- abandon your current account and create a new account that uses your desired username
- request your username be changed using Special:GlobalRenameRequest (if you have attached an email address to your account), or by using Wikipedia:Changing username/Simple
If you have any questions, please ask.

This template should always be substituted (i.e., use {{subst:Moved-userpage}} ). Any accidental transclusions will be automatically substituted by a bot. |
Used to place a notice on a user page when the user has moved their user page in an attempt to rename themselves. This is only meant for new users. This is to be used when assuming good faith. If the user continues to move their userpage after the page is moved back, it may be a good idea to customise the message or move to inappropriate page move warnings.
It is recommended that you move back the user and user talk page before placing this message. If you can't because you don't have rights to allow you to move the pages back, you can refer this to a Page mover or Admin, so they can perform the move back. However, if you don't move the pages back, their talk page won't be at the right location, so you will need to {{ping}} the user to make sure that they have got the message.
Usage
