How about making this a wikitable?
editI personally am not a fan of tables like this one. Would there be any objection to my making this a wikitable, by simply adding "class=wikitable"? – Muboshgu (talk) 23:40, 17 October 2011 (UTC)
- Agree. I have no preference for either style, so I'll vote agree. (is this a vote? :P)--NullSpace (talk) 10:30, 18 October 2011 (UTC)
- I guess a vote will do. I just wanted to see if there would be any objection. We'll see if any objections happen after I make the change. – Muboshgu (talk) 21:20, 18 October 2011 (UTC)
- Disagree, looks very ugly. –BuickCenturyDriver 00:52, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
Improving the table
editSince this wikitable sorts, I propose to modify the table to look like this (example 2016 World Series):
Game | Date | Score | Location | Time | Attendance | |||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Away team | Home team | |||||||
1 | October 25 | Chicago Cubs | 0 | Cleveland Indians | 6 | Progressive Field | 3:37 | 38,091 |
2 | October 26 | Chicago Cubs | 5 | Cleveland Indians | 1 | Progressive Field | 4:04 | 38,172 |
3 | October 28 | Cleveland Indians | 1 | Chicago Cubs | 0 | Wrigley Field | 3:33 | 41,703 |
4 | October 29 | Cleveland Indians | 7 | Chicago Cubs | 2 | Wrigley Field | 3:16 | 41,706 |
5 | October 30 | Cleveland Indians | 2 | Chicago Cubs | 3 | Wrigley Field | 3:27 | 41,711 |
6 | November 1 | Chicago Cubs | 9 | Cleveland Indians | 3 | Progressive Field | 3:29 | 38,116 |
7 | November 2 | Chicago Cubs | — | Cleveland Indians | — | Progressive Field |
Proposed changes:
- All of the text in the wikitable will be centered.
- There will be a {{dts}} template embedded for the dates.
- The score column, while unsorted, will span four columns with away team and home team spanning two columns each for the teams and respective scores.
