Clarification on allowed link in a template...
editHey @Imzadi1979!
Saw your edit to the template and I have to admit I'm a bit unsure about the consensus. Are you meaning a highway/transpo project consensus or is it a requirement via WP:WikiProject Templates? I spent a solid 30 minutes attempting to figure it out and after draining my usually great tasting cup of coffee, I found myself no closer to finding what I should be looking for. Although based on your interests, I am assuming its probably WP:WikiProject Highways or WP:WikiProject U.S. Roads.
Keep in mind, I don't question you at all! Clearly you have the experience...I want to make sure I'm doing what's agreed and I have plans for templates in the future, so knowing this is going to be a great learning experience for me. If roads/highway links are verboten in a template, then I'll go ahead and retitle that section to Transportation or Transit as those are more fitting.
If you can direct me, I would appreciate it. On a closing note, let me shout a huge thanks to you for the thankless grunt work you do. It's impressive...150k edits and still rocking!

- There has been a general consensus from USRD against including those links because it pollutes the "What Links Here" listing for the highway articles, filling that listing with a lot of tenuously related or unrelated articles, especially when similar navboxes are created for every single community along some of the longer highways.
