Flag proportions at the Olympics

As the Olympics require all flags to be 3:2 (except Nepal), perhaps this should reflect that if images are available.

At least use the correct version of the flag of Switzerland:

Mjb1981, I started working on this, got distracted by something, and ended up at this article which seems to indicate that the actual Swiss flag (i.e. "the square one") is being used during the 2024 Games. I also cannot find a source that says that countries must fly a 3:2 flag. I'm not necessarily doubting you (clearly you've looked into this more than I) but if you have a source that I can use to justify what will be a rather large update, I would appreciate it. The source I have is on page 37 of this [1] which is the guide created for Tokyo 2020. I have seen numerous references to it over the years but that is the one I can find now.

Well, I did it, then I undid it, because it was causing issues with the historical flags (e.g. Hungary at the 1896 Summer Olympics was showing the modern flag). Going to have to think about the best way to deal with those. Primefac (talk) 21:14, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
