Template:GA reassessment request → Template:GAR request
- Should be shortened, like {{GAR}}. George Ho (talk) 03:20, 1 September 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose speedy rename "GAR" is a meaningless term, there's nothing concise about being meaningless. "GA" is pretty meaningless in itself, but we do use it as the icon, so it might be understandable. In the last few years, all these Wikipedia templates have been expanded to use sensible names instead of meaningless ones, so I don't see why we should reverse this trend now. -- 76.65.128.222 (talk) 03:05, 1 September 2013 (UTC)
- Support If GAR is meaningless, take it to TfD. It makes sense to have the name of this template match those of related ones. --BDD (talk) 21:00, 9 September 2013 (UTC)

Linking to talk page rationale
editThis template isn't really helpful unless the user adding it links to a section on the talk page briefly explaining why they think a GAR is needed. Viriditas (talk) 23:55, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
