"Military service" heading?

edit

The entries for Church and Order appear in the infobox under the heading "Military service". That seems wrong. AxelBoldt (talk) 14:32, 26 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please link to an affected article. You might find that there is an embedded infobox. – Jonesey95 (talk) 00:27, 27 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
The infobox at the top of the template page itself shows the "Military service" heading. Here's an example in the wild: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Benedetta_Carlini&oldid=1220882397 AxelBoldt (talk) 17:43, 27 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. Something seems to have been glued together incorrectly over the years, and you may be the first one to notice. I removed a duplicate rendering of |footnotes= that was appearing in the middle of the infobox, and I replaced it with a header called "Organization", which may not be the ideal wording to put above "Temple / Order / Institute / Church / Founder of / Philosophy". Suggestions are welcome for the wording of that header. More extensive reorganization can be performed in the sandbox. – Jonesey95 (talk) 12:51, 29 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for looking into this! Everything would break down without template hackers :-) Personally, I would put Temple/Order/Church etc. (and also Teacher) under the "Personal" header, where we already list Religion. AxelBoldt (talk) 19:54, 29 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

the background colors or the colors which are set by default by choosing religion is not visible in dark mode. Inu06 (talk) 17:34, 24 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Always link to an example page when reporting a problem. – Jonesey95 (talk) 04:39, 26 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Here is an example page: Muhammad Ayyub. Inu06 (talk) 04:43, 26 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
I see white text on a dark gray background. That seems to conform to the idea of "dark mode" to me. I don't see anything broken. – Jonesey95 (talk) 04:57, 26 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
But the background color (which is green in case of Muhammad Ayyub) is not visible. Inu06 (talk) 05:21, 26 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
I agree. That is what I see also. The background is dark in dark mode, apparently. – Jonesey95 (talk) 05:15, 27 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
