title instead of "head"

edit

Different UN agencies have different types of "heads", such as secretary-general or director-general, these are substantive distinctions, therefore a head1title = or something like this should be added.

Moreover, most organisations have a deputy, this should also be possible to add

Why would there be a link to commons in the infobox? Seems to fly in the face of WP:SELF. 132.69.231.148 (talk) 01:34, 3 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

This infobox should be more harmonized with the Template:Infobox organization and Template:Infobox Geopolitical organization. Taking account the need to present the UN specificity, the merger is probably not the best option; however, for the organization-related fields should be the same.

Maps

edit

Why there is no map tag? It should have it for articles like United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific. --109.92.46.88 (talk) 08:12, 9 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

I added map tag, but have little problem with positioning. I want map to be at the bottom of template, right above map_caption. Can anyone help whit this? --Milan.j (talk) 08:41, 9 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Expand the Infobox

edit

I recommend to expand the "Infobox United Nations" because it does not contain a whole lot of information. In other Wikipedia-domains, there are more information presentable for peacekeeping missions such as budget, fatalities, current strength, initial resolution, subsequent resolutions, a map, origin of police and military contributing countries, etc. Another opportunity is the creation of a new, more appropriate infobox tailored for UN peace missions. One example: UNMISS German Wikipedia --Schwafm6 (talk)
