Dropping `1` and `2`

edit

Per the WP:SILENCE on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Tropical cyclones#Drop argument mess in Template:Infobox tropical cyclone current, parameters 1 and 2, used to process West and South coordinates, have been boldly deprecated in favor of signed values. The aforementioned parameters will still be supported until the end of the year where they will be removed, unless removed earlier by another editor or by consensus. Replacement?

edit

In the {{Infobox weather event}}, it says this template would replace the {{Infobox tropical cyclone current}} template, however this is still being used. What does the replacement do? Thingofme (talk) 02:19, 15 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Thingofme: Replacement doesn't exist yet. It'll be on {{Infobox weather event/Current}} when I get around to it. Chlod (say hi!) 02:21, 15 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
But other templates, I have marked it as deprecated. And it shouldn't be used for future cyclones/weather events. Thingofme (talk) 04:00, 15 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Move

edit

I have moved this template to the project space due to its historical value per a request from a while back. I left redirects on this for now so people will be directed to the appropriate page for the time being, however, the redirects can be deleted after some time has passed.
