Name
editWhy doesn't this template lay at template:infobox open cluster? --Harald Khan Ճ 11:37, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
- I don't know; I would think this could also cover globular clusters. But it is also somewhat redundant with template:Cluster.—RJH (talk) 19:07, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

Template:Infobox cluster → Template:Infobox open cluster – this template is only for use with open star clusters, and not globular clusters, or galaxy clusters, or all star clusters, so should be named for the scope of the template. --Relisted. - Support– It's much better to move it to Template:Open cluster since there are a lot of kinds of "clusters" in astronomy. SkyFlubbler (talk) 13:46, 22 December 2014 (UTC)
- Support– {{Infobox cluster}} is vague, {{Infobox open cluster}} is not. ~ Tom.Reding (talk ⋅contribs ⋅dgaf) 14:10, 22 December 2014 (UTC)
- Support, to clarify what this template is supposed to be used for (only open clusters, not globular clusters or galaxy clusters). StringTheory11 (t • c) 22:02, 22 December 2014 (UTC)

- Consensus does not seem to be forming towards the merge of "Infobox: astro object" and "Infobox: cluster". ~ Tom.Reding (talk ⋅contribs ⋅dgaf) 15:17, 22 December 2014 (UTC)
