Taiwan

edit

@Wugapodes: Taiwan appears to be displaying as "NaN". Sdkb (talk) 18:24, 1 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

It looks like Kosovo (north of Greece) also has an issue, displaying only as "no data". So the disputed territories are a little funky. More minorly, similar issues with places like the Falkland Islands, French Southern and Antarctic Lands, Puerto Rico, and Greenland. Sdkb (talk) 18:32, 1 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Sdkb: Ah, good to know, I'll need to look into it more, but I would bet that we need to find independent population figures and cite those, similar to how I handled Greenland. Disputed territories are tricky because the map operates by ISO 3166 and regions without an ISO code aren't manageable without some hacking. Wug·a·po·des 18:44, 1 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Help

edit

This template doesn't show up on my wiki : vi:Bản mẫu:Interactive COVID-19 maps/Per capita confirmed cases, so everyone can explain it to me. Thanks very much. Keo010122 (talk) 01:35, 23 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Adjust scale

edit

With the exponential growth in cases, 1000 cases / million. has been exceeded by 13 countries.

Suggest a better scale would be 0-4000 cases / million. Aeonx (talk) 16:35, 28 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Some countries disappearing into the sea

edit

This has an issue currently where, before you click the play button, it looks as though some countries have disappeared into the sea. Can we fix that? {{u|Sdkb}}talk 08:09, 21 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Wugapodes: this appears to still be an issue. {{u|Sdkb}}talk 06:43, 30 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Sdkb: should be fixed now. Wug·a·po·des 21:15, 31 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

High-count countries

edit

@Wugapodes: The scale on the graphic currently goes up to 10,000, but with the U.S. above 20,000 now, we might want to update that. Also, this is a bit picky, but it'd be nice to have commas, colons, and better significant figures. E.g. United States: 20,955 rather than United States 20954.78. {{u|Sdkb}}talk 06:32, 24 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Sdkb: The scales should be fixed. For future reference, those can easily be updated by changing |domain-magnitude= on each of the templates like Special:Diff/980153284. The number corresponds to the order of magnitude for the scale maximum: 5 -> 100000, 3 -> 1000, etc. I'll look into the formatting; should be possible but I can't give an ETA at the moment. Adding year

edit

@Wugapodes: Since we're over a year into the pandemic now, it might be good to add the year to the date. Spelling out the months rather than using abbreviations might also look a little more professional. {{u|Sdkb}}talk 22:12, 3 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

I remember thinking "nah, we don't need to display the year, it'll be over before that becomes relevant". Perhaps the most depressing design choice I've ever made. Anyway, yeah, I think this will need an (easy) tweak to WugBot and then a couple changes to /common. I should have that done by tomorrow. Wug·a·po·des 22:55, 3 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
