Please replace the contents of this template with the contents of the sandbox (revision 749366309), which I have converted to use Template:Language with name and transliteration (like Template:Lang-ru and some others), allowing passing transliteration and literal translations into the template. Thanks! — OwenBlacker (Talk) 00:02, 14 November 2016 (UTC)

Error using italic parameter
editIn a GA review of the article Sumedha, on the reviewer's computer the Sanskrit fonts using this template did not display well in italic. The italic parameter was set to yes like this: {{lang-sa|bodhisattva|italic=yes}}. The reviewer was Sainsf, and she used Mozilla Firefox on a 64 bit Windows OS. Please fix this. Thanks.--Farang Rak Tham (Talk) 10:01, 4 January 2020 (UTC)
Parameter Add Request: IAST parameter for transliteration

Please add a parameter |iast= which appears as "IAST: (roman tranlisteration)" Mualphachi (talk) 05:13, 3 April 2020 (UTC)
- @Mualphachi: There is no way you would have a COI with a language. SInce this template is template-protected, I'm assuming you intended to make a {{edit template-protected}} request, so I have put that instead. {{request edit}} is for COI edit request only.
- With that said, I have put the Template-protected edit request up, and someone with Template Editor will answer your request.

- Not done for now: This is already covered by the parameter |translit-std=; I think at very least you would need to establish a consensus first for this change by explaining why the existing parameter is insufficient. Goldsztajn (talk) 16:53, 17 April 2020 (UTC)
