I request the following edits to this template:
1: Replace the short description at the bottom of the template's page with the documentation template;
2: Fix minor grammatical errors that appear when the "commons" parameter is set to "no" (see the third test case in Template:Maybe_free_media/testcases) and change the capitalization of the word "Non-free" to "non-free";
3: Add external links to relevant copyright policies and Wikimedia Commons; and
4: Remove an extra-wide paragraph break when additional rationale isn't provided (see the first test case in Template:Maybe_free_media/testcases).
This template's sandbox contains all the edits that I am requesting. Alpha514 (talk) 02:53, 20 June 2023 (UTC)

If the image has no source, add
{{subst:nsd}}
It really doesn't have anything to do with the subject of this template in my opinion. QuickQuokka [talk • contribs] 00:15, 26 August 2023 (UTC)
- Not sure I understand, editor QuickQuokka – the subject of this template is that an editor thinks a particular image could be "free", or in other words, not "non-free". If the image has a source, then its copyright status is easier to determine, correct? So why would it not be pertinent to apply {{subst:nsd}} if the image isn't sourced? P.I. - @Paine Ellsworth: Ohhh, that makes sense. I will now close this request.
