Replace with vector image
edit{{editprotected}} The png-file should be replaced by this svg-file. --MrStalker (talk) 00:35, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Why this icon appears big?
editThis topicon appears big than the reviewer or sysop topicon to me. Why? Did anybody notice this problem, or it's just mine? I saw the widths are both 24px. — Tanvir 07:49, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
- I see a new version of the File:Wikipedia Rollback.svg was uploaded according to the new logo. Maybe that has taken effect. I think we need to resize it now. — Tanvir 07:53, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
- No, it is actually for historic reasons. It just started out as a different sized icon, and when making all of these top icons, i tried to keep the original look of the icons as much as possible. —TheDJ (talk • contribs) 10:39, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
Move to "Rollback topicon"
editShould the template be moved to a new name to bring it in line with the topicon naming schema? -- Avi (talk) 17:40, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

Can you please change | wikilink=Wikipedia:Rollback feature
to | wikilink=Wikipedia:Rollback
to directly link to the correct page? Thanks, iComputerSaysNo 22:03, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
Edit request regarding addition of Category:Wikipedia rollbackers

The header says it all. Maybe it doesn't. Why shouldn't using this template automatically add the page it is used on to the Category:Wikipedia rollbackers (unless specified by a different parameter, such as no_cat=yes or something)? smtchahaltalk 04:24, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
We could replace the template's code with the following one (it worked for {{Reviewer topicon}}):
Code for rollback topicon
|
---|
{{topicon|imagename=Wikipedia Rollback.svg | wikilink=Wikipedia:Rollback | description=This user has rollback rights on the English Wikipedia. | id=rollback-icon | icon_nr = {{{icon_nr|{{{number|0}}}}}} | extra_offset = {{{extra_offset|{{{offset|0}}}}}} | width = {{{width|24}}} | style = {{{style|}}} }}<includeonly> {{#switch:{{{nocat|{{{no_cat|}}}}}} | yes = | true = | #default = [[Category:Wikipedia rollbackers]] }} </includeonly><noinclude> {{documentation}} </noinclude> |
smtchahaltalk 06:04, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
Also, I think the same needs to be done on the {{Autopatrolled topicon}} template (with the Category:Wikipedia autopatrollers this time, of course) as well. Since I thought it'd be pointless to place a separate request on a separate talk page, I'm doing it right here. Here's the code for that one:
Code for autopatrolled topicon
|
---|
{{topicon | imagename = Wikipedia Autopatrolled.svg | wikilink = Wikipedia:Autopatrolled | description = This user has Autopatrolled rights on the English Wikipedia. | id = autopatrolled-icon | icon_nr = {{{icon_nr|{{{number|0}}}}}} | extra_offset = {{{extra_offset|{{{offset|0}}}}}} | width = {{{width|24}}} | style = {{{style|}}} }}<includeonly> {{#switch:{{{nocat|{{{no_cat}}}}}} | yes = | true = | #default = [[Category:Wikipedia autopatrollers]] }}</includeonly> <noinclude> {{documentation}} </noinclude> |

- Done. I used {{cat handler}} which is a cleaner option, and also will only category user pages. Hope this is okay. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 15:58, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
- That's great, in fact, because I've noticed that most templates use {{cat handler}} for handling categories ( ) and I think it is better that all templates use similar codes to avoid confusion (which is why I have harmonised the code of {{reviewer topicon}} with that of this one). And of course, categories should rather be on user pages than on talk pages (though a few users prefer not to have a user page and hence have to add categories to their talk pages instead; but anyway, those cases are very rare). Thanks! smtchahaltalk 16:15, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
Appropriate on user talk pages
editPer the documentation, I have this topicon on my user page. However, I've seen some user talk pages with it as well. Is that an appropriate use? – voidxor (talk | contrib) 04:45, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
- There would be nothing wrong with that. Even having it on both, would be okay. Mind you, I personally am in favor of following procedure, for various reasons, but no, there is nothing "wrong" with it. Debresser (talk) 17:32, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
- I see. Shall we mention user talk pages as a permissible application on the usage documentation? – voidxor (talk | contrib) 19:56, 16 March 2015 (UTC)
- That is not a good idea. We don't want people to do this. The optimal use is on the user page, so that's all the documentation should say. Debresser (talk) 20:19, 16 March 2015 (UTC)

Hello! Template:Top icon recently became more restrictive so both |width=
and |height=
must be passed with non-default values for any actual changes in the displayed image size. Thus, this template should be slightly modified so it is possible to specify the height as well, while defaulting to passed custom width – please see this diff for an example. Thank you in advance! — Dsimic (talk | contribs) 23:20, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
- Partially done... I'm not letting height be set by width though; that was a concious decision to prevent "accidental" breakout issues.

Please change the image in the parameter "imagename" from File:Wikipedia Rollback.svg to File:Wikipedia Rollbacker.svg, as the file page states that the latter has superseded the former. P,TO 19104 (talk) (contribs) 15:49, 21 January 2021 (UTC)
- Not done for now: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the
{{edit template-protected}}
template. Not sure if there's consensus to do this. Since the images are different, I'm declining out of caution. If you can show a consensus somewhere, I'll make the change (I've already implemented it in the template sandbox, of course, it's incredibly easy to do technically). Elliot321 (talk | contribs) 18:04, 21 January 2021 (UTC)- @Elliot321: I am not quite sure why the image was superseded, but what I do know is that it was done in Early 2012 when a user replaced the image File:Wikipedia Rollback.svg with File:Wikipedia Rollbacker.svg on the WP:ROLLBACK policy page. No discussion seemed to have taken place, and no users objected to the WP:BOLD replacement. The latter image is the one that is currently used on the policy page of WP:ROLLBACK, so it makes sense that the same image would be used in the topicon. P,TO 19104 (talk) (contribs) 15:54, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
- Interestingly enough, I have also found that the same user did the same thing with the userbox Template:User wikipedia/rollback: see diff. Again, with both changes they didn't give an edit summary, but the images have seemed to have stayed. P,TO 19104 (talk) (contribs) 15:59, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
- Just compared the two as small topicon images and prefer the presently used one, that is, File:Wikipedia Rollback.svg. As we all know, these should be changed only by consensus. There is no policy or guideline that tells us that the topicon must be changed for any reason. I prefer the status quo. P.I. Ellsworth ed. put'r there 18:18, 22 January 2021 (UTC)

This template currently uses the older version of the rollback logo (brighter arrow curving upwards). However, this version is superseded by the newer version and it is recommended to use that newer version.
So change the filename to Wikipedia Rollbacker.svg
.
{{Top icon | imagename = Wikipedia Rollbacker.svg | wikilink = {{{link|Wikipedia:Rollback}}}
