editI guess "Surface 1.0" (PixelSense/SUR40) don't really fit here but in case someone some day decides to add them:
What concerns the SUR40 discontinuation date: I found migration guides from June 2013 and December 2013 with only the latter directly mentioning the discontinuation. Colors and vertical position were chosen quite randomly.
